Serenity Senior Living

When both of our parents were diagnosed with severe dementia, it was devastating!
Serenity Senior Living has been a blessing for my entire family.  It's awesome to know that the two people you love the most are being taken care of.  Not only are their physical, medical, and emotional needs being met, but they are treated with love and compassion on a twenty-four hour basis.

Testimonials

Serenity Senior Living has been my Mom's home since December 2012.  Our family couldn't be happier with the loving care Chris, Stephanie, and the staff have provided.  Mom is now 93 and needs 24 hour care as her dementia progressed to the point she could not take care of herself.  Serenity is like a big family with a staff that really cares for the residents as if they were family!  They provide a home like atmosphere with a family dining arrangement with home cooked meals, an entertainment room with TV and even guitar serenades by Chris.  The rooms are nicely appointed with your own TV, mementos and pictures from home to make the residents feel safe and secure with familiar surroundings.  My family always feels welcome when we visit or call with up to date information on our loved one.  We couldn't have found a more secure, helpful, and loving place for our Mom!
Thank you Chris, Stephanie, and staff.

Serenity has been a blessing in my father's life. It is never easy to trust your loved one to the care of others. Serenity has gone the extra distance to ensure my father has what he wants as well as what he needs and I have peace of mind that he's well taken care of. I recommend Serenity for your loved ones.

We found a great home for my 86 year old Mom at Serenity.  We started looking for someplace smaller and more caring than the retirement community Mom had lived in.  We needed someplace where the folks working there would recall what Mom did yesterday and last week and someplace where the staff stayed long enough so that turnover would not add to her confusion.

We looked at several places and ultimately found Serenity. We knew after 10 minutes that we had found
the right place. The owner (Chris) and staff are caring and experienced. They clearly have their heart in this business and that means a lot.  We moved Mom in the next week and she felt at ease right away.  The team gave her a warm welcome and they listened to what we said about Mom and what she liked. She started dancing again (she always has been a dancer) and joking and laughing as always. She liked living there and she liked the other residents.  Often when I visited Mom, the staff had updates and pictures or videos for me. They told me stories of how Mom was doing and that meant a lot to me. Mom’s had Alzheimer’s and she could not recall what she had done yesterday, but the team at Serenity treated her like an adopted grandmother and made note of everything she experienced.

Mom passed away a while ago. She was in hospice care (and still living at  Serenity) the last three months of her life. When it was Mom’s time to go, she stayed where she had lived and felt the warmth of home and the folks that cared about her. She had a “second” family in the staff there.

Determining that a loved one needs assisted living care is often a difficult, heart-wrenching decision. When I could no longer provide the kind of care at home that my mother required, the time had come to find a place that would become a genuine home for her.  While many places have a wonderful attitude toward the elderly, they do not provide a warm, home-like environment.  When I set foot in Serenity Senior Living, a ranch style house on Ramble Creek, I felt I had found a true home for my Mom. Speaking with Chris made me absolutely certain that this was the perfect home to provide care for Mom.  While talking with him, Chris said, “I am asking you for the honor and privilege of loving and caring for your Mom as you would.”  Needless to say, this is the ideal attitude to create the best setting for her.
Chris and the amazing, dedicated, supportive staff made the transition from our home to Mom’s new home as easy and seamless as possible.  Mom’s room was set up with all of her things so it looked like her room when she arrived in the evening.  Everyone was so warm, welcoming, compassionate, and supportive.  They truly have a family-like atmosphere and made Mom feel at home.
The staff took the time to learn about Mom, her needs, her past, her favorite things, and they really focus on taking superb care of her and making her happy. She receives warm, loving customized care to meet all her needs, physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological.  Mom has settled into her new home and really enjoys spending time in the living room, the sunroom, and outside on the patio when the weather is beautiful.

The door is always open for me to visit whenever I wish and to stay as long as I am able.  Mom always looks great when I come to see her, and it is clear that she is receiving superb, loving care.  We always enjoy our visits, and it is such a blessing that I can focus on just being Mom’s daughter and delight in spending time with her.  I love getting videos and pictures of Mom enjoying an activity or simply having a good day.  Updates are always a phone call or text away, and this provides a great deal of comfort.  Selecting Serenity Senior Living as a new home for Mom was an excellent decision for all of us.  Not only does Mom have a wonderful new home, we all have new members of our family.
